REBECCA BADINER // DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH & INSIGHT
Rebecca’s background of psychology and advertising makes her an ideal fit as BIG’s Director of Research & Insight. She utilizes her qualitative and quantitative research genius to develop creative approaches to help with client’s biggest research queries. As an undercover extrovert, her introversive gifts help her to think and observe the world in a way that allows her to consistently uncover deep-seated consumer insights. With experience on both the client and agency side over the last 10 years, she has insight into consumers across a wide swath of industries including retail & consumer-package goods (American Beverage Association, T.J. Maxx, Walgreens), health and wellness (GlaxoSmithKline, BlueCross BlueShield, SoulCycle) and travel and hospitality (Choice Hotels International, Amtrak). Rebecca is passionate about people and what makes them tick. As an intellectual omnivore, you’re likely to catch Rebecca people-watching, listening to NPR or buried in an issue of her favorite magazines (The New Yorker and The Atlantic). Outside of the office she can be found running distances the rest of her teammates deem as borderline insane, or spending time with her husband Dave and dog/life coach Scout.
Don Burke, III // senior brand strategist
What Don brings to the table, no one else offers: his flare for life and creative-yet-diligent work process elevate his experience in branding, marketing, business development, graphic design and creative direction. Don’s experience includes Lidl US, where he utilized consumer insight to develop innovative packaging artwork as a Brand Manager for the world’s third largest retailer. He also spent time at Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup, where he managed product marketing and branding development during the launch of the company’s line of imported Spanish goods, José Andrés Foods. Don’s passion for all things Spanish started in Madrid, where he worked in traditional and digital marketing at L’Oréal Spain. As the resident office DJ here at BIG, he has a soundtrack for every client, project and emotional state of mind. He has been a huge asset in many ways, but Don is most appreciated for his eye for experiential design, implementation of Office Extrovert Hour, and impromptu Daily Dance Parties.
Brooke Williams // associate brand strategist
Anthropologist–turned–marketing research whiz kid, Brooke is our Brand-Strategy-Intern-turned-Associate-Brand-Strategist. When she isn’t scrolling through mounds of Simmons data and developing critical brand insights for our clients, you can find her relaxing at the beach or narrating her life with song. Our in-house ethnography buff understands the importance of authentic brands and diving deeper into the world of consumers to learn what makes them tick. Her work has been a vital part of our success with brands like sweetgreen, Maya Kaimal, ListenFirst Media and Hugh & Crye. Researcher by day and food justice vigilante by night, food holds a special place in Brooke’s heart (and stomach). Curious by nature, Brooke is a big fan of asking and answering questions, so don’t be afraid to ask her anything. Ask her about her capstone on urban agriculture, or how much she loves BIG. Be advised: long-winded and impassioned conversation ahead.
MARIA DEYELL // PROJECT DIRECTOR
A true multi-tasking wizard and organizational master, Maria is responsible for keeping the BIG train moving smoothly and efficiently. In addition, Maria oversees all Truepen Coaching engagements and clientele. She has successfully managed BIG projects for over 6 years after an impressive track record at RedPeg Marketing, Leo Burnett U.S.A. and RR Donnelley. Oftentimes, Maria understands a client’s needs (and more often than not, her teammates’ needs) before they can express them. Maria utilizes her range of experience in advertising, experiential marketing, corporate communications, brand identity and strategy – plus a keen attention to detail – to deliver the highest quality client service to every project she touches. Maria has had the pleasure of working with brands such as SoulCycle, GoGo squeeZ, Marriott Vacation Club and Delta Air Lines, over her 16 years in the industry.
MEG BEUCHERT JONES // Finance & Operations
Aside from taking care of the money, Meg is our house mom and office manager. She brings experience in documentary production and television sales. As BIG’s Interior Designer-in-Chief, Meg has excelled in creating the ideal aesthetic for productivity and play in the office. She is famous for her chocolate chip cookies and for her patience. She pays on time and expects others to do the same.
